Our Mission

_mg_8425 The Vinyl Theatre was created out of our distinct and never ending dedication to music. Good music. Not the unfortunate, over-produced, pre-meditated formula that today's current radio stations air in their repetitive rotation. The Vinyl Theatre believes in the good music from the past and present, and is committed to unearthing great unique sounds from music's past and digging up the new sounds off the beaten path of today. When you listen to song in one of our programs and your first reaction is that you don't like it, well, that's a good thing. You should play it again because good music isn't easy, it's really hard and requires an open mind, much like all good art. Remember nobody liked Van Gogh at first and now his paintings are among the most sought after and expensive in the world. The Vinyl Theatre is backed by a large private record collection consisting of many of the worlds greatest, and most influential and often rare musical artists. The records themselves are very well cared for and most are the original first pressings from their country of origin. However you should note that there can be sound quality differences based on the original production of the master tapes themselves. In short, some sound better than others, but all are the authentic original vinyl pressings and sound the way the artists intended for you to hear them. There can at times be some surface noise but that is part of the beauty of records, they're not super-polished and slick. They're warm and clean. We here at The Vinyl Theatre hope you enjoy the show. Thanks for listening.
